Artist Charles Kapsner gears up for 15th ‘Collaborations’ Salon

Getting ready for his 15th anniversary “Collaborations” salon at Great River Arts in historic downtown Little Falls, renowned Artist Charles Kapsner has been busy planning.

“The very first one actually was in 2008 and I pick a different theme every year. As it went on and evolved, I’ve been trying to introduce other disciplines of art to the area,” he said.

Some of the past themes have been ballet, the orchestra from the St. Francis Music Center, a variety of music groups, poetry reading, ceramics sculptors and more.

This year, Kapsner said, the Pierz Jazz Band will be performing during the artist reception and gala at Great River Arts, Friday, Oct. 13, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
