Opening for ‘Ciao Thyme’ around the corner

The opening of “Ciao Thyme,” a new restaurant with a full bar in historic downtown Little Falls, is set to open sometime in the next few weeks. The goal, said Executive Chef Scotty Stocco and General Manager Christopher Plakut, is to open Friday, Nov. 17.

As far as the menu goes, Stocco said, visitors can expect an Italian-American type affair with some Mediterranean classics sprinkled in.

“Wood-fired pizzas, artisan sandwiches, some classic pasta and some entrees,” he said. “I’m sourcing Thielen Meats for our pork chops and our rib eye. The chicken entree will be an herb-roasted game hen with smashed baby reds, homemade gravy, and some fried capers. It’s my own twist on, like a chicken piccata.”

At first, Plakut said, the restaurant will offer several dinner options, but as time progresses, they plan to add more to the menu, as well as experiences for customers.

“We’ll add a lunch menu and after that, we also want to add a cinema menu where people can actually take their food and drink into the theater with them,” he said. “So, people can enjoy a glass of wine and let’s say, a bruschetta, while they’re watching the movie.”
