Horizon Health has big plans to turn their building, located at 1201 Hilton Rd. in Little Falls, into an Adult Day Service. They have nicknamed it, “The Club.”

The plan, said Laura Triplett, director of Horizon Health Day Services, is to provide a place where members can socialize with others, engage in a variety of fun and relaxing activities, learn new skills and more. It will also give caregivers an opportunity to run errands, go shopping, take a well-earned break — whatever they decide to do during the time their loved one is at “The Club.”

Triplett said the purpose of the adult day center is to have service plans for the people who participate in the program. The first step after an application has been submitted is to assess whether the program will be a good fit for the person, as well as tailor the program to fit the individual’s needs.

“Based on that assessment, we’ll have a program that our staff will be aware of, that will help the individual with something in their life that will help them take care of themselves or help them with a skill they may have lost,” she said.
