Chamber, Convention and Visitors Bureau merge

The Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and Little Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau have been working together over the past year and a half to merge into one organization. At 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, the two organizations officially merged to become the Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.

It took a lot of cooperation between the two organizations and countless hours of work among 19 people divided into different task forces, said Purva Watten. Watten was previously the president and CEO of the Little Falls Chamber of Commerce and is now the president and CEO of the Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.

“If you think about something, we’ve already kind of thought about it,” Watten said. “Everything from our mission vision statement, what our new one would be, to our logo to the structure of the board committees. Basically, everything.”
