Morrison County awarded for outstanding workers’ compensation division by AMC

The Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC) met for its annual conference Monday, Dec. 4 through Wednesday, Dec. 6 in Minneapolis, where as part of the conference, Minnesota counties receive awards for outstanding performance or accomplishments.

Morrison County was determined by the Minnesota Counties Intergovernmental Trust (MCIT) to be the best out of the state’s 87 counties in one category for 2023, the workers’ compensation division. This division aims to provide workers who have been injured on the job with benefits concerning wage loss, medical expenses, and vocational rehabilitation.

The person responsible for the county’s workers’ compensation division is Chief Financial Officer Curt Bryniarski, who was presented with the award Thursday, Dec. 7 during the Morrison County Board of Commissioners meeting.
