Currently on display in the Main Gallery at Great River Arts (GRA) in historic downtown Little Falls is the exhibition, “Nature’s Cacophony” by Layl McDill of Minneapolis. The exhibition will be on display until Feb. 1, 2024.

“It’s a solo show of my work that I have made mostly in the last two years, but there are some older pieces, too. It’s kind of got a good range of pieces,” she said.

What makes the exhibition unique, besides McDill’s creative mixed media pieces, is the fact that this is the first time she has been able to display all three large pieces together. The art pieces, she said, depict a beaver, a bison, and a Great Blue Heron.

McDill said the 36 pieces that are displayed at Great River Arts are made with items she has found, whether at a thrift store, a garage sale, around the home, or gifted by people. She also incorporates polymer clay into the art pieces.
